Camp Fire Meteor
I installed a NEST doorbell cam which faces towards the town of Paradise about month prior to the fire. It captured the smoke that arose that morning. It also captured at 5:25 am that same morning a meteor that can be seen heading in the same direction of where the camp fire started. The fire started approximately 20 miles by line of site from my house. PG&E reported to state regulators that at 6:15 am a transmission line malfunctioned. Fifteen minutes later the first visible sign of the fire was confirmed. The meteor was recorded about 50 minutes prior to the PG&E report of the malfunction. I provided this information and video to both PG&E and CalFire investigators just days after the fire, and have not heard back from them since. Based on their response it seems the meteor was just an insignificant oddity on that day.
